you know those little pop-up games at the top of the screen? well, I just saw one that said 'hit the monkey'. But the monkey was cute! Why would I want to hurt that cute little monkey? That's just mean. But then I thought, what if they had really awful ones, like 'slap the bitch' or 'stab the pope' or awful things like that? and what if people actually played them? it's a sick world man.

so everything happens for a reason. I made my mom mad last night so she didn't take me to this Vanderbilt open house thing, but then I apologized and we went to dinner where I ran into Reynaldo and apparently he had gotten a new cell phone number but couldn't get in touch with me because he had my dad's cell phone number, not mine. I guess that probably weirded my dad out, having some strange mexican guy calling him. but everything worked out! and then I got to go to Ryan's where I got to see schall and her hot Texas cowboy friends. Oh yeah.

So I decided to do marching band (alright!) I went to visit today, which was nice, but really, really hot. Like, I was just sitting in the shade and I thought I was going to pass out. And then Mr. Back yelled for like 10 minutes about wearing tennis shoes. Maybe it's been a bad week, or maybe he just needs to lighten up a little bit.

The song "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas is quite possibly the best, worst song I've ever heard. I thought Hollaback girl was bad, but no. You know how you can't stop looking at car wrecks? Well, it's kinda like that, except this is a song and you listen to it and it won't back traffic up for hours.

Well, off to Panera. I ate lunch at Atlanta Bread Company today and I felt like a traitor. Oh well. Hope everyone has a fantabulous day!

Love, Duda

Wow. It's been 5 months since my last post and I miss everyone. The only e-mails I get are ones saying you have no mail, and it's almost no point in turning on my phone. So here I am hoping to make contact to all those on the outer rims of East Cobb (or wherever you might be.)

Last you heard I had a date to prom with Jay. But then I got a boyfriend and went to prom with him instead. And then that boyfriend broke up with me. And then I had an awesome birthday where I got to eat at Sapporo with my best friends. Hooray for being 18. And then I graduated and got a job. So that's where I spend almost all of my time, at the YMCA or at Panera where I eat bread and gain back all the weight I lost earlier in the day.  What an evil cycle.

I registered for classes at Vanderbilt (yes, I'm going to Vanderbilt and I'm so freakin' excited about it too!!!). So I'm taking math, spanish, a writing seminar called Music, Self, and Society, and beginning anthropology and I hope it's not as boring as some people seem to think it is. I can't wait for next year or two years from now when I'm dropping Spanish and taking elementary Italian. boo ya.

there has been no desperate housewives, no OC, no ER, no CSI, no Grey's Anatomy and I'm just so confused because I have no idea what day it is. At least if it was Thurs. I would know that 3 hours of my life would be dedicated to the best tv shows on the planet or that I would be going to someone's house to watch them and study econ/math, or that the next day would be Friday so it didn't matter what I did anyway because it was almost the weekend. If Eva Longoria and Patrick Dempsey were on tv, then I would know it was Sunday and that hell would ensue the following day. If nothing else, it just always gave me something to look forward to. And during the summer there just isn't anything.

So this fourth of july really sucked. I mean sucked big time. My mom and brother were on vacation, I had to work, and I didn't go see fireworks because I was feeling like a stick in the mud and didn't feel like doing anything. But I did watch King Arthur with Clive Owen (who I thought was very attractive). It wasn't really that great of a movie though. It falls under a category with Troy and Lord of the Rings because of the sword slashing, arrow throwing, cult like feel, except that Lord of the Rings movies are freakin' awesome.

I saw eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and that movie was amzingly great and dark. I don't think I've ever liked Jim Carrey so much. Then I watched Alfie with Jude Law (a beautiful specimen of the male species) and felt very, very empty. At first it glorifies the single life and hot hookups. then it's all about meaningful relationships. and I have neither so yay for that.

Let me conclude by saying a few more things.                                              1. Oprah magazines are great, especially the section called Breathing Space, which is a double page spread of some remote location. Very serene and pleasant. They make me happy.

2. Harry Potter is coming out soon and I am so excited. I had wanted to re-read the entire series before the next book came out, but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen any time soon.

3. I hope the marching band leadership team is finding it challenging but rewarding. I hope you all have an excellent time at camp. Maybe I'll come visit. . . .

4. Yeah, if anyone is in town, please give me a call. Just so I can know how you all are and what you've been up to. I'll try and catch up on everyone's xanga since the past half of a year. But truly, I would love to see you all before I go off to college and am never around. You can write to me at zipadee24@aol.com or elizabeth.a.duda@vanderbilt.edu  . And my cell phone number is 770-846-5770. I hope everyone is having a safe and happy summer.

Ok, until next time. . .

Love you all,

Elizabeth

man its been awhile since I updated eh? so I guess I'll just put up the highlights of my past 7 days or whatever. . .

Old School with a friend. I love Will Ferrel.

Sick from Sat. to . . .well still a little now. But no school for me on Tuesday or Wed. Yeah fun stuff! But then Friday's drug awareness bull shit. Yuck.

All weekend honor band. Sam was fun but the other girl was smelly. Thank god I was second part; you don't actually need to know how to play!

My parents blew up at me, so I left. Then I forgave them and they bought me Taco Bell. so its all good.

I have a date for prom! Thank you Jay, I thought I would be single for prom, and my dress is too pretty for that!

Okay, that was the past few days in a nut shell minus all the little details. You're welcome

Early Release. Nice. Not only did I get a 96 on my math quiz, but the quiz in econ. wasn't really even a grade! And then the bell rang and I was close to being the last out of the parking lot. It is so empty after 6th period!

Got my English project done (hip, hip hooray) and I mean the presentation one, not the poem, I'm not that good. I watched two episodes of the OC and almost went to a belly dancing class. We walked in for the 9 o'clock lesson and this lady with crazy huge eyes just looked at us like we were insane. Apparently they stopped giving those classes in NOVEMBER! Well, we were told about the class from someone who used to take lessons there. But it had been awhile since she had gone. Let me guess, November?

So there's that. Good night everyone.
