marigolds
When I lived on the horse ranch
there was a corner of my cousins house
where my cousin
now gone
I miss him
planted poofy orange marigolds
"rabbits don't like them"
he knew
the little things
about the little things
that lived around us
He's gone
I miss him
I remember the marigolds
growing at the corner
beneath his window

I can just smell those marigolds.
I think that the love we have for dear cousins is often disregarded. My favorite cousin from childhood moved 1 mile away from me last year. We havent seen each other since we were 8. I have not felt so safe in decades.
@sahel578 - oh how cool!
