summer break

Yesss, so as of tomorrow, I'll get to start my short 3 week summer break, yesss. Hey, you'll take what you can get when your school goes all year round. I think I've decided that I need to take some sort of trip this break, just drive somewhere. I think me and Tyler will hopefully just get in the car and go. Go camping somewhere, fill up a tent with the presence of God until we can't move! Yes, that sounds like fun! It was my birthday last week, and I had an awesome birthday, thanks to everyone who helped make it so great. But I looked back on the year and even read some old xanga postings of mine from a year ago. Man, God is so good. He has brought me so far, like Paul said, not me but by the grace of God. I think we can get caught striving way too much, I think one of the biggest things I have learned over the past year is how easy it is with God. I mean, we might go through some tough stuff, but if we just trust in him, life can actually be enjoyable, wow. Jesus said, come to me my yoke is easy and my burden is light, the more I learn to trust in him and walk in his ways, the more I realize this is true. Even when you are going through 15 or 16 hour days, or when you're just over busy, it can still be easy when you're relying on God's great grace. I know that I got pretty busy sometimes during the year, and looking back at my former self I would have been in breakdown mode, probably drinking myself to sleep so I didn't have to deal with all the bussiness, but God's great and he gave me strength and joy to get through those times. All I can tell you people, is just fall in love with Jesus. The more I grow closer to him, the more and more I want to. Well I'm going to get going to hand in my last final. Peace and love everybody. Leave me any prayer requests or love notes, jk. but serious about the prayer requests.

P.S-Oh yeah this is my new baby that I bought for my birthday. The guys from as i lay dying play it, yeah that's right, I can see you drooling.

Well hello everyone.  I hope everybody's week is going awesome.  This weekend was great.  Starting Thursday God had some awesome stuff for a few of us who went to lakeside in Big Lake.  Then there was Friday, when we found out about a "spiritual fair" at SCSU where they had mind readers, hypnotist, and tarot card readers.  So we were not going to let the devil use that without fighting him.  So we went into prayer and intercession for that, and then headed out to see what God would do at that place.  We had at least two people in prayer while the others were out talking with people and praying for people at the psychic fair.  God did some awesome things that night, nothing less than divine appointments.  Ryan n' Ryan's friend Jeremy was with and he was just flowing with the prophetic, and as soon as people gave him an opportunity to talk to them he would be giving them the gospel, it was awesome.  So we had a chance to pray for this girl in line for the tarot card reader, there was about 4 card readers.  When we got done praying for her, one of the tarot card readers stood up and says "hey can you guys pray for me, I love Jesus, he's an awesome guy," but in a mocking spirit, he said any prayer would help him, like he wanted prayer to help with his tarot card reading.  But God can break any walls, so we went up there to pray for him, and Jeremy really hit on some stuff in his past and we knew this guy was getting hit by it.  So we were in front of the line of about 50 people, so when we got done this Hindu girl came up to us and asked us why we lay hands on people when we pray for them, and Jeremy didn't waste a second to give her the gospel as well.  Anyways, I'm just sharing this because I saw God move in some awesome ways this weekend, and all glory to Him.  We are definitely entering into some very very exciting times.  So it was an awesome weekend with Jesus.
Hey also, those of you who go to Friday bible study, it sounds like we are not having bible study this week so we can get the word out on that.  So this friday we were planning on going to see John Bevere preach in Lakeville.  He's an awesome preacher, so all should come, we are going to meet at the Buffalo Wal-Mart parking lot at 3:45, I know it's pretty short notice but hopefully we can get a bunch of people.  All are welcome, it's not just for the bible study people, depending on how many people go we might need a few to carpool people down there.  So if any of you know you want to go get the word out, and let me, nathan, or tyler know so we can get an estimate of how many cars we need.  Ok peace everybody, I hope to see you on friday.  Leave me any prayer requests or concerns.  I love you all.

P.S-  God loves you with an everlasting love
P.P.S- The new United Live CD is amazing, best ever

JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I said that in a really positive way not using his name in vain) Hahaha, I'm so excited for him.  So that's all this post is about, I'm just super excited for what God is doing in this hour.  I really believe that I heard from God that this is a season of fruit.  The winter months were OK a lot of us went through some trials and wildernesses but I really believe that this is a season to see fruit and a harvest.  Not to say that we won't face opposition because right before you see God really work Satan is always there trying to stop it, but we're not going to let him do that.  I think we're living in some serious times and we need to take our walk with Jesus seriously. So that's all my quick post is about. I hope to give some of you encouragement if you have been going through a tough season.  Just keep looking up to hills as psalm 121 says where does my help come from, my help comes from you.  Even if you can't see it right now God's moving in this country, I can see that sun rising up on the horizon.  Ok everyone, now is the time I ask you for prayer requests or comments on how you're doing and stuff.  Love you all.  Peace.

Hey Yall, anyone who reads this.  It's been awhile.  whoo, so it's finals time and I've got my share of work cut out for me, But God is great.  I had an awesome weekend, spending it with some awesome people, snowboarding up at Lutsen.  We had a great time even though the weather was quite interesting.  Anyone who thinks God can't do anything hasn't lived in Minnesota.  On Saturday they shut down the lifts because of a thunderstorm, we were actually snowboarding and seeing lightning, hearing thunder, getting pelted by hail and rain.  If that isn't the wierdest weather ever on the slopes I don't know what is, I was waiting for frogs and locusts.  But we rocked the slopes then on Sunday when we were driving home after Duluth we got hit by the blizzard, it was so bad, we were going 20 mph on the freeway and I was actually driving with my lights off because we could see better, I was cracking up hysterically at this point because it was so crazy.  But we prayed for a snowplow so my little malibu wouldn't slide into the ditch.  We pulled over and almost stayed at a hotel for the night  but decided to trek on.  And when we got back on there was one snowplow that had cleared some of the road.  Then I got this great picture in my head of Jesus driving the snowplow, trucker hat and all, just smiling away because he was making the road safe for his children.  That picture in my head brought joy to me all the way home; really just picture that for yourself a second, it's great!  But I got home at like 2:30 am after leaving Lutsen at like 5:30 pm, but it was an adventure.  It was great to wake up and see snow covering everywhere, it's so much like Jesus covering our sins.  It was so muddy and nasty just a few days ago then after one night you wake up and everything is white and spotless.  That's what Jesus' blood did for us, it made us pure and spoteless, at least our spirits are.  We need to seek after purity in our flesh as well, to die to our flesh and be raised up in our spirit and with Jesus.  We're living in a world where it's so easy to blend in, it's so easy to be a christian and look and act just like the rest of the world.  It's easy for us to get caught up in the ways of this world.  Not even looking at the "typical" sins that the world looks at like sex and drinking, which are easy to spot but we need to get convicted of things like gossip, and jealousy, and pride, and vanity, and apathy, and bitterness also.  What are our motives in our morality, are we just doing it out of pride and a religous spirit because we read it in a book so to look more spiritual we will let everyone see how "pure" we are.  Jesus (the son of God, the word made flesh) said that we must die to the world and be raised up in him, and who ever will save his life in this world will lose it, but whoever loses their life in this world for his sake will find it.  Ok so I kind of went off on here, but I don't hear that many talking about living set apart from this world or dead to the world.  It's an uncomfortable topic and an uncomfortable way to live, but so was Jesus' life.  I know I'm not there yet but that's what I want to reach after.  I think we will start to live holy and set apart when we really fall deeply in love with Jesus.  The more I fall in love with him the more I want to be with him and obey him, and if sin is getting in the way I really want to get rid of it so I can keep growing closer to my father.  As Jason Upton sings "Daddy make me just like you, I want to be Just like you."  And Jesus is love, and he his holy.  We're not going to achieve holiness going at it on our own, we will achieve it when we give up our worldly lives and give it all up for the sake of love and glory for our father.  This was a really long post and I doubt most people read it all the way through, so thank you whoever is still reading this I really hope it wasn't condeming but convicting.  Because truly what I talked about is a better life than the best worldly life.  Leave me any prayer requests, or talk to me because I like hearing from all of you.  Keep on seeking his face.

Oh and I just put up my interview with Mike from Haste the Day on Christrock.com if any of yall want to read it.  That band is some pretty cool men of God making some pretty awesome heavy music.

Ha ha ha ha, and I'm still laughing.  Last night was great, I don't think I've ever really been hit with such a spirit of joy so quickly.  This may sound crazy to some of you, but we were praying and it started out with one person who got hit and then the rest of us started getting hit until all of our stomachs hurt from laughter.  I don't know what all of you might think, but Jesus is fun.  The closer and more intimate I get with God, the more I take delight in him.  Sometimes we focus on the hardships and trials we will go through as christians, and that will happen.  But what about how good it can be to walk with Jesus.  James 1:2 says "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials."  Isn't that just funny right there?  We can count it joy when we go through trials.  He wants us to have joy and enjoy life, but we are only going to find that pure joy in him.  That's the kind of joy that will enable us to laugh during that crappy day you have or smile when someone hurts you.  I really pray and hope that you all can taste the joy of the Lord, it is infinetely better than any sports or entertainment that you could try and replace it with.
But life's not always like that, either is church.  Unfortunately our lives don't always line up with the word of truth.  So do we just say well church is boring and I don't find that much joy in my relationship with God?  Don't just give up and say life's never going to be that way.  Jesus wants you to have joy, do you believe that?  Start to fall in love with him and give yourself up to him you will find that joy.  But I'll be done with that, I just thought I'd share something that I think is so awesome and fun, and hopefully you all have exerience or will experience.  So if you have any prayer requests let me know.  There's power behind prayer, and as a body we can lift eachother up through prayer.  Have a great and awesome day. Peace.
