 Thought for the day:

so the great miracle of Christianity is that we can reach "Nirvana" without being this perfect, understanding, absolutely pure and benevolent being. We don't need to re-live this life over and over in order to "learn the lesson." We are asked to be Christ like, but never expected to be Christ (or Buddha).

we die, but dont have to suffer the sting of death. we are granted peace with so little effort because God is a perfect, understanding, absolutely pure and benevolent being. i dont kow how it works, but Christ's blood, sacrificed, cleanses us and makes us worthy to stand before perfection. We will be given heaven... only because He loves us. Not because we figured anything out.

How weird is that?
It always seems that Christianity expects less from us, but offers an equal reward. I can see why that would make people angry.

But wow, imagining that you are the greatest sinner, how grateful you would be, if this were true. That you will be given Paradise, simply for believing... and maybe we don't even have to do that.

But, given such a great gift, I would hope that we would Want to believe.

*** just recording what is going through my head right now... not trying to preach.

added later:
all this suffering. i can suffer, but then never suffer again. This is it. I hurt now, but its medicine.
I wonder if we all have to learn some great universal truths before standing before God. How do we learn it if it is not in this life? (example: put others before yourself... if u dont learn it here. How do u learn it in the afterlife without some sort of suffering. There is this idea of redemptive suffering - hurt that is good for you, teaches you a lesson. I wonder how that works - or if our minds are just opened completely standing in God's Glory - like a great understanding. People who have had near-death experiences talk about this enlightenment. Understanding everything and being filled with love and peace.)

Hello Ms. Christine,
Thank you for your comments on my article. I see that there is a lot of pain in your life right now. That’s largely true of most people living today! So I can’t blame you for being in a bad mood. Fortunately, God is about to bring an end to the world’s problems! There is good news and bad news. This is how the world’s problems will end for Jehovah’s people: 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:3-4) (NIV)
And this is how it will end for everybody else: "And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become." (Jeremiah 25:33) (YLT)
A lot of people are offended by my writings but that is not of any consequence to me because I’m not here to please everybody. My job is to show people what God requires of us, something they will not learn in church because the priests and ministers of Christendom do not teach what Jehovah requires. This is everybody’s opportunity to learn what God requires if they want to know. It is absolutely true that most people will prefer their chosen beliefs over what God requires because that was prophecied long ago: 1 You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. 2 People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3 heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything that is good. 4 They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. 5 Even though they will make a show of being religious, their religion won't be real. Don't have anything to do with such people. (2Timothy 3:1-3) (CEV)

hello. you might not remember me, but I once bombarded your site a while ago. :P

seeing your faith--- I'm sure you've experienced God's mysterious, yet undeniable sense of timing. I think i'm having one of those moments right now as I pay a visit here, and find your post here.
Time and time again I'm learning how suffering shapes you and teaches you stuff-- and it also provides this point of contact through which we can reach people. So, if it is any source of comfort or encouragement-- your trial and your stout belief helps change me. :D.....
