| Ok, a serious need for updates! So sorry but I was @ the beach till 2 days before school, feb. 29 and then I got here and was getting ready to start school and everything. School started and omg it sucks! I swear I want summer to come again sooo badly!
Basically my weekdays are reduced to sleeping really late because of doing hw, waking up super early wishing I could sleep just 1 more hour, spending the whole day @ school falling asleep and coming home and having to do tons of hw! It's horrible, and since I've been sick this whole week it's all that + coughing and blowing my nose.
That is why I loooove weekends so much. I actually get to sleep! I haven't really been going out a lot the past few weekends because well first of all, I've been sick, and then other times because of doing hw or because I'm just too tired! Kind of sad, but sometimes it's so much better to do some hw done on a friday night because I feel more relieved and not so stressed out the whole weekend thinking I have to do hw.
What else..my parents are in Mancora right now, my dad has been there for like 2 weeks, my mom a week, and I don't know when they're coming home, prob. soon but I've missed them cuz since I've been sick my sisters don't want to know anything about me, and I've been in total isolation. Haha.
Hmm...yesterday I went on a walk w/ the school, it's an activity I"m in where you just go on walks and camping. Omg, it was horrible at first! I thought it was all going to be flat, and pretty easy to do so I went, but since I was still a little sick, and I haven't been doing anything physical for the last week it was super hard for me! Plus, it wasn't all flat, it was all UPHILL and it was sooo tiring. I felt like I was gonna die and I had to rest like every 5 minutes. It took us like 3 hours to get to these waterfalls...and it felt so great to get there and we ate lunch there and everything...there was like 40 of us (students) and I think 4 teachers.
Going down was super easy and fun so I felt much better, so in the end I enjoyed it...cuz I was w/ some friends too so it was fun..just going up was the worst. So I got home, and then since we're alone, my mom's friend who worries about us took us out to eat dinner and it was super funny cuz we were laughing a lot, and my mom's friend actually spit out aaaall of whatever she was drinking all over us! It was sooo funny, because it was all silent and then out of nowhere she spits everything on the plates..the napkins..her clothes.hilarious.
After that, just stayed home cuz I was soooo tired from the walk, and I went to sleep like at 10:30 which is really early for me but I really could NOT keep my eyes open and I was watching this really good movie on hallmark..
Well I must go and do homework because I have tons and tons, but April check your email! Leave comments if anyone reads this.

| hey to anyone who still reads this. i haven't been updating cuz since we're renting a beach house the whole month of february i've basically been there all the time! or @ least for the past 2 weeks. i'm only coming to lima like 1-2 days a week just to come back, see how everything is here but since it's pretty boring we're going back tomorrow.
what else...there's so much that has happened but i really don't want to go into any details...well about my sister: kassandra broke up w/ piero...kind of a long time ago, well like a month..but still, i still can't believe it, well i can but it's just weird, i'm so used to having him come over. i guess i'm not feeling the change as much since we're @ the beach all day. then...what else..i was taking french classes in january, trying to improve my french since i only know basics, but i gotta study on my own cuz i only got better @ what i already know.
been w/ friends...tough times but i hope everything will eventually be ok. (francisco te quiero y estoy para lo q necesites) my mom's bday this saturday--yup. valentine's day, gonna spend the day w/ her, cuz yes, you guessed it, i got no valentine. lol. but i don't need anyone, fine on my own.
today i went to see ines. my long lost friend that i hadn't seen for like 2 months! she went to spain but now she's back thankfully. she's going to the beach w/ me this weekend. gonna have good times. we just watched "blue crush" and talked. omg blue crush is so hawaii, well duh it was filmed there but it was just like aah i lived there! and so many memories came back.
well not gonna be updating till prob. next week. got lots to tell but that's basically a summary. the rest is just stuff that's happened @ the beach w/ friends. pretty fun till my friends decide to drink and then i'm outie. well should be fun this weekend since i'm gonna be w/ girls and not just guys. lol. that might sound kinda weird but hard to explain. if you really want to know, ask me.
laters. happy valentine's day to everyone. | | |
| Say what? I'm updating and I wrote yesterday...weird, I know but I just had to make an entry cuz I found like a really cool little guide for life and I think it deserves an URGENT place on a xanga site! PLEASE READ IT.
Here it goes:
Dali Lama gave these instructions for life...
-Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
-When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
-Follow the three Rs:
Respect for self
Respect for others and
Responsibility for all your actions.
-Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
-Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
-Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
-When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
-Spend some time alone every day.
-Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
-Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
-Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.
-A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
-In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.
-Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.
-Be gentle with the earth.
-Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.
-Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
-Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
-Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
It's wonderful, and so true...I love the point on judge success by what you had to give up in order to get it...cuz you can be successful w/ luck sometimes, but you can feel really good about yourself when you get something that you worked hard for. I love that feeling when you know you deserve what you get. I remember for French last year I got an A, and I was so happy cuz I hadn't learned anything w/ my teachers cuz he seriously sucks at teaching, and I studied by myself from the book and from other stuff I found, and I was so proud of myself cuz our teacher had said that we were all gonna fail.
They're all great...also the one about changing but not letting go of your values, so important! I think sometimes people are afraid to change cuz they just get so used to their life, and everything simply becomes a matter of habit but sometimes change is good cuz it makes you grow. Trust me, I speak w/ experience! I've lived in three different parts of the world, and met different people and I know I would totally be a completely different person if I hadn't lived in different places. I can't imagine living in the same place my whole life, I love going places and meeting new people and seeing what life is like in other countries.
There's also some things here that I have to change about myself...not to bring up in the past when fighting w/ someone or whatever...that's so true, to live in the present...but of course I can't forget my memories, it's waaay too difficult to simply give up the life I had in Hawaii so anyone from Hawaii reading this especially April, Alee and Nova..I'll never forget you and you've formed a part of my life.
Hmm...well I guess that's enough "spirit food" for today. I hope it helps someone or just gives them something to think about it and ways to improve themselves.
----> I'll try to update more frequently and I think I'm gonna have quotes of the day from now on. We'll see...oh interesting news, I bought lamps for my room! They're super nice. They're like chinese type lamps...well I bought 2 white balls..those typical ones that they have in Chinese restaurants..and then these like cylinder type lamps that are paperish material and different colors to hang up in my room, they're pretty small so I bought 13. I'm gonna redecorate my room during the summer (now).
ooooook. enough for an entry, and one last thought: live life to the fullest! | | |
| Ok, here it goes...
*Christmas: only me and my family w/ my uncle and cousin but the good thing about this year was that everyone had the xmas spirit! Seriously, my house was super nice..my mom bought tons of xmasy flowers and plants all red and green..we had little angels going down to see the "birth" of Jesus...xmas lights...green pine-like strings going up the staircase, a huge train around the tree and a small gingerbread village! Apart from that, I got good stuff, $ to buy clothes, jewelry, lots of candles (which I love), a new lamp for my collection (it's super nice), ooh and the best thing...a new straightener/crimper/curler all in one
*New Years: Mario invited me, Belen, Francisco and Jorge to his beach house for a few days so we went...we spent the 31st at this party called "infiniti" and @ 12:00 am of the first we were in the line waiting to get in! It was kind of a disaster but still fun. When we got in, whoa killa..there were soooo many people! Lots of people from school, and from other places of course..and it was so packed! You could barely move, and to dance even worse...but all in all it was still fun cuz I was w/ my friends, and that's what counts We stayed @ the party till like 5:30 am then when to sleeeep.
*Summer: I'm taking french classes every day mon-fri. to get better at french cuz I s u c k (well compared to the rest of the class cuz in my class now I feel super advanced). Anyway, it's pretty helpful cuz I'm understanding a lot of things that my french teacher doesn't explain...well he never explains anything, assumes we know everything grrrrrr...so frustrating, but when I get back I'm gonna be way better @ french so I'm happy...
Bad news: 4 1/2 hours a day! 8 am-12:30 am. Kill me now.
What else...we might rent a beach house for a month, or if not go to Mancora. Either one, I can't wait...beach! Although, I still have to work on lots of stuff...I gotta do my history extended essay...my history internal project...read a book for spanish and I dont know how to do everything! History is just endless information, but oh well..I like it.
*Yesterday: Romina and her cousin came over, he's from the USA and Romina said he didn't speak any spanish and she's not too good in english so she brought him over and it was pretty cool. He was super nice, 18 and veeeery talkative. I think it was cuz he had no one to talk to so when he came it was like ok, slow down. But good times. The only problem was that Kassandra had taken over the living room w/ all her friends! Seriously, it was like ok, where did my house go? And they were all smoking and it was like y u c k. GO OUTSIDE. I hate people who smoke. Actually, I hate their habit.
I had fun. Oooh I also went to see Lord of the Rings yesterday! SUPER good movie, just extremely long. The last 15 minutes were soooo slow and they put everything in sloooow motion, but I still loved the movie obviously. It's so weird to think that JRR Tolkien imagined that all in his head! I think it's so amazing...same w/ Harry Potter..it's just unbelievable how they can create a whole world out of nothing. Especially Tolkien cuz in his books he even has maps..and different elvish languages and songs and weird creatures, its so cool!
I must go...Comments anyone?

| Ok, it became necessary to update. News: I'm done with exams!! Yay, I'm so happy because I was soo getting sick of watching my sisters doing nothing for like a week while I was still studying. Seriously, cuz Kassandra finished early cuz of igcse's and Chloe also finished early...so like nobody in my house was doing anything, but thank goodness, I'm done! I think I did ok in all of them...except maybe french and not too sure about history, but apart from that, good.
What else is new? Ugh, well I have to keep going to school monday-wednesday to correct exams, but I think we only stay till 12:45 which is good. Then, thursday is graduation! I technically dont graduate this year, cuz I'm staying to do the IB...but we still get to dress up all nice and get a diploma, cuz we're supposedly choosing to stay another year, but I dont know what I'm going to wear yet! I have to start looking...
Next, the prom is this saturday! I still need to look for shoes, and a purse and ok I haven't done anything. This weekend was relaxing though cuz since I finished exams thursday, we basically have nothing to do till monday so on friday I went to school to talk/help w/ the teacher who's in charge of doing the yearbook cuz I'm going to be one of the editors, cool huh? I really like helping w/ that. Then, we went xmas shopping for decorations and came home and decorated...
On saturday I went to this hospital as a volunteer to help w/ a party they have for little kids w/ cancer each year...and it was really fun to help cuz we like helped them when they first got to the place, showed them to their seat, then passed out the food...drinks...and just helped in general. The little kids are super cute too. The only bad thing is that it was sooooooo hot! I swear I was going to die of the hotness, and I was wearing jeans too cuz everyone was supposed to wear them, but I got a cool t-shirt that says "Ponle Corazon", the name of the organization that raises funds to do that kind of stuff for the kids.
Then...after that...did nothing much, I was pretty tired...but in the end me, Kassandra and Piero decided to go to the movies, and we originally went w/ the intention of watching "Elf" but when we got there, we realized it was dubbed (? is that the word? well, that it was done over in spanish) so we ended up watching American Pie: The Wedding. It was pretty funny, I didn't really want to see it cuz I hadn't seen the 1st or 2nd one, and I thought those movies were gross, but it wasn't too bad.
Then...today so far me and Kassandra have spent the whole day xmas decorating! We have a real xmas tree outside of our house that is growing each year bigger cuz we got it like when we first got here to peru cuz we wanted a real xmas tree for the house...but since it was too small we left it to grow outside, anyway.......we decorated that We also like put little angel lights going up the stairs w/ tinsel...and decorated the dining room, and cleaned up the mess we had made..the thing is that everything looks christmasy now.
What else...I don't think I have any other major news...I just can't wait till summer! But I'm gonna have to work during the summer...do my extended essay and internal for history...and y u c k...next year I am going to die w/ everything! But that's why I'm going to enjoy my summer as much as possible. k, gonna go cuz I doubt anyone will read all this...merry early christmas in case I don't update soon.
