| Ok, yes...it's been quite some time since I have done any of these! I forget and then don't get around to it. Don't hold it against me!
So, lately, I've really been sucking at life! UGH! I've been forgetting things and just been out of it. The other day, I had a paper due...totally forgot! I leave things behind, I bring things I don't need to, and forget I have them when I need them! I don't know what my problem is! Focusing isn't really one of my strong points lately. Jackie (the costume designer I'm assisting this quarter) asked me to go downstairs and pull some costumes the other day, which was really exciting since we usually do it together. So I'm thinking, "Great! She trusts me to pick out costumes and not totally screw up her design!" So what do I do? I forget a tape measure and my measurements, which I had to run back upstairs to get...then, when I've finally pulled what I think are great choices, I bring them up and can't remember what actors I pulled each article for!! I love Jackie as she loves me, but she just looked at me like I was completely retarded...I kept studdering over what was what, and what I was going to do with them. That's just one example of how I've been lately!
Life has been pretty disorienting lately...graduation is coming up, and yes, I'll have a worthless Theatre degree. It'll be great! I've decided that rather than move back home, I'm going to stay in Columbus next year and work full time. My mom isn't happy about it, but I'm pretty sure that it's my life and my decision! I don't mean to sound harsh toward my darling mother, but lately, it seems as though she thinks that it's her duty to make these and other kinds of decisions for me. I love her to death, but freedom is needed!
So, still living the single life. It's not so bad, sometimes. It's more of a blow on the self-esteem than anything else! Oh well, maybe one day I'll meet that Prince Charming!
Well, that's pretty much my life in a nut shell...crazy, unattached, and blurry as hell! Great combo...
And just to enforce that, I was deemed "schizo" by Keith's quiz!

| Merry Christmas everyone!! Well, it isn't quite Xmas yet, but dammit, I don't care! There's snow on the ground, so it's Xmas! I suppose just saying that there is snow on the ground doesn't quite give justice to just what kind of weather we're having here in Columbus, Ohio. I hate snow! My car is stuck on Summit and I don't want it there. At all.
I'm supposed to be driving home for Xmas tomorrow night after work, but I don't know how the roads are going to be. I'm gonna be downright pissed if I can't go home!
Ryan and I are going shopping tonight. I only have one more gift to buy, but I haven't been shopping for myself in quite a long time, so I believe I'm gonna be doing some self gifting tonight! Yippee!
You know, I thought this entry was going to be more fun, but I've kinda bored myself with it and don't care to write any more. Maybe I'll have interesting blogs in the new year! Don't count on it... | | |
| Let me start this entry by giving a shout out to the cute boy who talks to me on AIM! There...are you happy?
Wow, so it's been a REALLY long time since I wrote in here! Most of the reason, I suppose is that I don't really have anything exciting to add! I've been super busy with school. This quarter is probably the most labor intensive thus far in my lengthy college career. I'm not a huge fan!
Ya know, I don't really even want to talk about school! I had a fantastic weekend! I had to close the store on Friday night. But, after work, I hung out with one of my friends and had a pretty good time. Then on Saturday morning, I went and picked up Erin at Mike's house and we got ready to go to the Ohio State game...we won!! Yay! It ended up that my roommate, Brant, gave Jodi his ticket because he had to work, so I got to spend the afternoon with ma' ladies! And did I mention that we won!? Yeah, it rained, but it was worth it. Then after the game, we went and picked up Erin's car (it was towed! Damn you, Columbus towing companies!!!), went back to my house, and got ready for the costume party that we had that night.
Jodi went as a witch in a costume that she designed and built herself...it was hot! Erin went as a trampled cheerleader in a costume that Jodi built. I went in a lime green nighty that belongs to Jodi! If I get any pictures and am able to scan them, I'll be sure to put them on here! The costume actually worked quite well! Erin and Jodi helped me with my hair and makeup which was a great thing! The only thing that sucked was the fact that it took me forever to shave. I actually need to shave again before my party this weekend (I'm wearing the same thing). It's getting quite itchy!
A funny little tidbit follows...I decided that I didn't want to wear my pants home as I did on the way to the party on Saturday, so I wore my heels, my nighty and my jacket on top of it. So my legs were quite bare. We got so many honks as we were walking down High St!!! It was so funny to see guys checking me out at a distance and then as they approached and could see that I wasn't quite the lady they had hoped for say things like, "Oh my God!" or "Interesting..." Maybe I got them to question their standards a little bit! Or...maybe I was just that hot! LOL!
As I mentioned before, I have another party this weekend and a couple of my friends are going with me again. So it should be another fun filled weekend for Ryan...that's assuming I make it through the week!! | | |
| WOW! How long has it been since I did one of these!? Let's just say a long time...anyway, I found some spare time, so I thought I'd do the noble thing and talk about me!
Classes started on Wed. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it was sooo great to see all of my Theatre friends! How I've missed them! You know what? This was a dumb way to start an entry! Let's go chronologically, shall we?
I had to spend 2 weeks at home, in Delphos because I was between leases. What can I say about Delphos? Hmmmm...well, it was great to hang out with my friends from back home that I don't ordinarily see on a regular basis when I'm living 2 hours away, so that was great! I actually spent more time at Erin's house than at my parents'! We had lots of good times, including one night in which we all decided to sit in Addy's babypool in our clothes! We fit 5 people (sitting) in that pool! After we decided we'd had enough of the freezing thing, we changed into towels and sat around Gary's (Erin's fantastically fabulous neighbor) fire he had started in his back yard. It was a lot of fun.
Another eventful night was the night before I moved back to Columbus. Erin, Jodi, and I went uptown to the the beer tent for Canal Days to drink a few and be merry. Well, we were up there for all of about 30 min. when Carissa Fawn came up and said that she and Marc were going to go to BDub's in Lima. We decided that sounded like the better idea. So we all headed to Lima and met them there. WELL...there is supposed to be a DJ on Saturday nights and we were all psyched to get our dance on. We got there...no DJ. That is the second time in a row that we have gone there expecting to have a good ol' time groovin to the music. So we stayed there until last call and just chatted. Then someone got the great idea to go to their house and go swimming! Well, being the designated driver, I decided that I would leave it up to the rest of the car what they wanted to do. Of course, being the drunk-asses that they are, they decided that it was a wonderful idea! So we headed off to go swimming at like 2:30 in the morning! Well, it ended up being an "underwear optional" kind of swimming party. Let me point out at this part of the story that I'm the only completely sober person at said party. So technically, the fact that I went swimming makes me completely dumb! It's to be expected that the not-so-sober people thought it was a good idea, but I was just dumb! It was absolutely freezing!!! Anyway, I kept my boxers on(shrinkage is not hot no matter what you may hear!) and took a dip in the ice cold water that was the pool. Oh, and I saw my Carissa Fawn naked!! I would just like to take this chance to say that she has an awesome body in and out of clothing! Ok, I'm done talking about this ordeal! Bottom line...it was cold and fun!
So, like I said, classes have started and I guess it's cool. I just keep thinking that every class brings me that much closer to graduation! Well, that's it for now. | | |
