Today was a gray, windy, snow flurry kind of a day in our neck of the prairie!

We let the sheep out for a while today, they were enjoying the leaves on the lilacs bushes. I took this picture from the inside of my house...much warmer!!!

Ron is a happy camper...he got this fellah yesterday!

Yesterday I decided to go digging for our gold fish that we had put in the stock tank last summer...the tank had frozen over, but it had been warmer for a couple of days so I figured it was now or never.  I had to chop up the ice...then I threw the chunks out on the ground.....never thinking about the slippery mess it would make to try to do chores....my dear hubby came and spread it out so hopefully it would get some melting time before winter sets in!  This tank is frozen solid then!

Then he used his fish net and caught the 3 gold fish for me....what a sweetie!

they are now very happily swimming in our 10 gallon fish tank!

Angalia and Wayne spent the evening with us Wed evening...my kids decided to come home, so they got to enjoy the little ones too.  Angie had a little accident, so we found her some clothes from my dress-up stash...she LOVED it!!! so of course we had to dress up Wayne too!

wow, I sure haven't been home much lately! (my laundry is alive and growing!!!)

Yesterday I spent the day inside a loom tying knots! (see my cushy stool!)

all done!

studio 003-r over 700 knots!!!

Linda has a weaving studio at her home.  She has 2 part time weavers, and every once in a while she needs someone to tie knots or thread for her, so I get to help.

Linda making sure it was done right...we had to do some fixing

studio 012-1

She weaves fabric for a lady out east, who makes jackets out of them....they are gorgeous!  The ups truck is a frequent visitor at her house!  here is some new fiber that arrived.

and here is a pile of woven fabric ready to be sent

it never ceases to amaze me at how many steps there are to having a beautiful piece of fabric!

Then in the evening I went to an "At Home America" party....if you've never heard of it...they have some nice stuff...I'm having a party in Jan if you want something! (check out the phone...it really works!)

Yesterday was a VERY busy, but AWESOME day!

Harvest Festival in the morning....

Pastor Darrell and Pastor Ron

We had an hour service, coffee break, and I did a slide show of area people and harvest pics, then we had another hour service, then lunch.  Pastor Darrell had a message in the first service, Pastor Ron had a message in the second service, and we had lots of special music and congregational singing...for those of you who use the Mennonite Hymnal, we closed with 606.  The song leader had us turn so we were all facing the center of the church...it sounded awesome!!!

Lots of good visiting and baby Olivia was once again the star attraction!

On Wednesdays my 3 kids that are in town, (About 23 miles away) stay in town and go to the home of some friends of ours until evening.  Silas who goes to the local elementary (10 miles the other direction) is at home.  I meet of friend of mine at the highway, (6 miles from home) and she takes Silas and I take her 2 little ones, and they all meet at a church in town, where Thaddeus goes to Awanas, Rachelle, David, and Silas help with awanas, and then stay for their youth meeting, and my friend brings Thaddeus home, and gets her kids....ok got that straight????  Oh well, it is working out GREAT!  Silas is able to get involved with a larger group of youth.  So last night was me and the two cute little munchkins at my house...trying to get a pic of the 3 of us was quite the challenge!

Angalia spent most of the evening playing with the kitty....

IMG_0042-r

and Wayne was just busy being a boy!!!

IMG_0082-r

We sure enjoy having some little ones around every once in a while!

Yesterday was WINDY, rainy, (rain up here is usually just a nasty gray drizzle)  and MUDDY roads!!!  In the afternoon it turned to snow.  We woke up this morning to a mostly white world, but not bad enough to call anything off. It wouldn't be bad if it wasn't so WINDY!  I hear that North Dakota is having a blizzard...thankfully we missed that!

The school this morning when I dropped Silas off, the flag pole was frozen, so he couldn't get the flag up...
