Um... do people still use Xanga???

Or are they all mostly on Facebook? I was just looking up some pictures from my old posts and got stuck looking through my pages and pages of photos I used to put up. haha, I remember people either loving them or cringing at having to scroll through so much. Anyways, I got all nostalgic at posting photos about everything up. haha.

So... do people still use Xanga? Or should I just stick to putting photos up on Facebook and tagging people haha.

Well? ... I'll think about it.

A cutey and Youth Meet

I haven't been here in awhile... We got John's (Puckett) little nephew a Chinese outfit from Malaysia and Stephy just got him to put it on and take pix in her new apartment to send to me. It fits him pretty well and he looks adorable. We also just had youth meet tonight so I have a couple pix up from that.

And then Stephy was making Chinese for dinner and asked me how to cook Chinese brocolli and I had no clue what she was talking about so they sent me a pic. hahaha. It looks like it's "kai-lan". Well, I don't know how Americans name Chinese vegetables. haha But I only know Chinese names for them. So I gave her our traditional garlic stir-fry with oyster sauce recipe.

I wanted to post a couple pix because Avril won't let me let Xanga die. haha. God has been blessing me alot and the new year 2008 is an exciting one because it marks the close of one chapter of my life. I will graduate from Thomas Edison (finalllyyyy) and then it will be kind of a waiting period to see where God leads me next.

Fruit Farm with AgapeCare kids
The AgapeCare kids are kids from single-parent homes and they go to the AgapeCare holiday program while their parents are at work. We chaperoned them to the fruitfarm one Monday.

Christmas in Africa
...a card I'm designing for AMA

"Thousands of poor children and mothers in Africa will not receive any gift from anyone this Christmas season. Some will not have any Christmas meal. Simplify your Christmas this year. Give a gift to a poor child or mother in Africa in honor or in memory of your friends and family. Africa Mission Alliance will deliver your gift and send a Christmas card (this card that I'm designing) to your friends or family in whose honor the gift has been given."

I haven't finished the insides and the back of the card yet. Go to www.africamissionalliance.org and you can donate $25 for books for a child, $50 for a goat for a widow, $100 to feed street children, or $200 for a sewing machine. It kinda works like, instead of spending extravagantly on unnecessary gifts, you give to Rwanda and they will send your friend a card explaining why they are not getting a gift this year. hahaha. Well, not exactly. It kind of lets the both of you participate in the giving.

Other than that, I've started up school again. 18 more credits!!!

IPS came and went last month and Paul took some family pictures of us while the other students were stressing over their model shoots.

And I made more postcards! I printed a bunch of pictures to fit in my little IKEA wooden frames and now I have little pictures all over my room. Jon thinks it looks clutterred but I like em. I have pictures from Rwanda right above my desk where I can see all the time.

This is one of my favourite pictures of the two handsome boys... Uncle John and Liam.

What else...
Went to Singapore right after IPS for a TLC graduate dinner (lifeformingcoach.org)
Attended AOG Malaysia's 50th Anniversary Banquet in Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel
Attended the Global Leadership Summit (Bill Hybels) conference and was inspired! Also got to hang out with Winne and Shan and the long-lost Derrick. I had fun.

Right now, we're getting ready to leave for Taiwan next Wed to play tchoukball in the Warm Up Games for the World Games (2009) in Kaohsiung! We will visit Taipei for 5-6 days and then go to Taoyuan for some friendly matches. Kinda cool how I get to go back to the 3 cities that I taught CIs in.

I get to meet Bobby & Julie!!!

What do you think? I'm trying to build it in Flash and set it up so people can browse through children's profiles and sponsor a child for $28 a month. Would you like to sponsor a child?

PWP1 started on Monday! It's been going good... I've always liked IPS courses.

ATI Conference 2007
Well... mainly Erinn

Yeah, it is time to finally begin my picture posts again. I've taken a nice long break from xanga but I feel like the world needs to see these pictures so here they are... hahaha. I do like facebook, if only because I can tag people and be tagged. And not to mention poking. But I hate all those add-ons you can get - superpoke, superwall, superlatives, super-annoying. Do you want to be a werewolf, ninja, pirate, dork. hahaha. Okay, I am sure they are cool if I actually bothered to figure out what they were but I don't care if no one gives me food from the bakery or sends me little fishies, or if they take me off their top friends list. Maybe one day I will repent. But for now, I will stick to the boring, plain old facebook. I do like gifts.

I've been home for a month after going to Port Townsend (WA), Seattle (WA), Knoxville (TN), Delaware (OH), Seabrook Island (SC), Toronto (CAN), Butare/Kigali (RWANDA), Toronto (CAN), Mercersburg (PA), Baltimore (MD), Dulles (MD), Harrisburg/Gettysburg (PA), Singapore, and finally Melaka (MALAYSIA!). Well, I am slowly sorting through my pictures but you may never see them because there are too many that I can't just pick a few so I end up not picking any. Come see me and I'll let you look at em on my laptop.

Rwanda was super awesome. I loved it. Well, there's the Rwanda blog thesoundofhope07 and maybe I will copy some of my journals and reflection onto here.

The ATI Conference just ended. It was alot of fun having our big reunion again - going out to eat with the Bryans, Pehs, Lims, Aunty Kim, Phoons, and we played tchoukball with the Bryans and also late night futsal with a bunch of boys and me, Niss, and Megan. But the highlight was seeing little Erinn again. I hadn't seen her since Chinese New Year - that's 7 months ago! She's my favourite baby right now. Liam was my favourite for awhile but sorry kiddo, Erinn has taken his spot. haha. And then Rowan and Caleb came to visit for a couple days before flying to Cambodia. They'll be back in Oct for IPS.

So IPS - PWP1, PWP2 and PWP Lite is in Oct and in Nov we're going to Taiwan! to play tchoukball in the warmups for the World Games. That's my life till now and yeah, school should start up again soon. whine.

Ps. I have fallen in love with the Canon Selphy printer - it prints these beautiful pictures directly onto postcards. And then I can mail them to people just like that. Plus the pix are waterproof and they say it lasts for 99 years haha. It's got a Digic II processor and it coats the pictures with some protective layer on top. B&H is offering a $50 rebate making it only $139! I need it. Well, want it. But I have no $$ right now. I will just use Wenshan's for now. haha.
