So...Happy New Year! haha

2007!!!..the year of pigs!! i'm a pig..haha

For those of you who have been sick for the past month or so...i feel ya...haha..the first 4 days or so were kinda painful..but after that..you feel like it's gone but a scratch here and there comes and tickles your throat...and then you go ahhhh!!

i think it's all gone tho..haha..hopefully..

So i started to read the bible again..the 'reading the bible in a year' thing.  Cause i stopped last year in August...and i was so consistent too!!! and as i was reading Genesis chapter 6, i realized something. 

Verse 5-8 says : "5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” 8 But Noah found favor with the Lord."

Doesn't it seem like it has been easier for God to wipe out the sinful people and start all over?  And to make sure that people don't eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil? But why did he save Noah and his family?  Because of His love for us.  If only God wiped out all the living creatures then and started over, it would've been easier for us to worship Him and not sin?  But maybe God knew no matter what happens, people are going to find a way to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and it's going to come down to this. 

God didn't just leave us to sin and do whatever we want, but He gave us a choice.  Either believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and know for sure that you'll be in heaven, or go sin away and see where you end up.  But there are so many things that lead us to know that God exists.  If there's a creation, there must be a creator. 

Again, i experienced how big God's love for us is and how amazing He is.

anyhoo...so i wanted to describe how amazing God's love is...and i wrote a lot after a long thought process..and it got erased...so i can't think anymore...

But that quote itself is just amazing.  God sees us as a new person! no sin! how amazing is that!  Once you acknowledge God as our savior, He gives you a new heart.  I love how John says that 'there's a reason that it's called good news'  pretty cool...

maybe you guys don't really get or are confused by what i said..maybe not..but i'm just too disappointed and sad that all the things that i wrote got erased.  bahh!!

So it's July already...and it's kinda chilly..weird?  i think it's just chicago weather. 

DCLA/JAMA was a pretty awesome experience.  I thought Urbana was a big conference but DCLA was about 12,000(?..not sure) people and JAMA was about 4000.  I guess praise led by David Crowder and Matt Redman was a huge plus.  It was good for the youth to experience workshipping with nearly 20,000 people.  The message was awesome and very powerful (for those of us who stayed up during the messages).  It was pretty tiring tho...my eyes were heavier than usual so i started taking note and it helped a lot. 

Something I learned during the conference that hit me was that if you're feeling like you're doing too much work for God such as serving everywhere, then you're becoming more and more legalistic.  In order to not become so legalistic is to remember the cross, recall your conversion (when you decided to give your life to God and how awesome it was to know His love), and to review your hope (Freeing yourself from being volnurable to legalism).  Serving should come freely because you love God so much and you want to follow His ways. 

That didn't make sense did it...haha eh..it's just something that i wanted to remember and posting it would help me so...i guess you guys don't have to read it or try to make sense of what i wrote.....

Car Wash!!

Our church is having a car wash this Saturday the 15th at 9AM-5PM  Please come and support us! I'll even wax your car if you want me to =) we don't have bunch of girls in bikinis but we can try making the little boys to wear them...just kidding...unless you really want to..

So the story with this picture is that the lady in the middle is an Elder at our church and she's known as the Terminator...she's really nice and awesome but there are times when she becomes the Terminator..when her firm grip gets a hold of your hand or your shoulder, you're done...i tried so hard to get her to wear the lamb hat that's made from a towel and i was successful taking a pic of her.  maybe this is just funny to me..=P

Hello there =)

Wow..it's been a while since i've updated huh..i've been...busy..being lazy =)

well..summer's here..it's starting to get really hot..or it's hot already..only if people are ok with people running around in their boxers...i would totally..........

We had our first small group today at Paul's house.  It was a overview of what we're going to learn, Ephesians!! but before we got fed spiritually, we had a BBQ.  It was good to see a lot of people and have fellowship.  The overview was awesome as well.  Hopefully everyone is excited to dig in to the Word as we continue to study the bible cause i am!!

What's KJ been up to?

not much..just a lot of work..and work..or mostly work..where you ask? same place i've been working for the past 2 years..=) it's a nice job so i like it..but sometimes it gets boring..

and then i moved to a new place on morgan and 15th..a little west of university villege..so if anyone wants to chill..i'm here in the city.  There's a workout room in my building so that's a plus..and it has a really nice view of the chicago skyline.  Makes you want to not workout and just glaze at the view..

I'm glad school's done but it's June already..so school's almost here..feel sorry for those of you who have to take summer school...or is taking summer school.  If you're ever hungry and you don't feel like spending money...let me know!! and i'll get you some food..we have a full box of lamyun at my place =D

Cedar was cool...took Loving God's Story track..basically bible overview..it was good that i took this track cause now it helps me with reading the bible.  Now i can relate more since i know how the whole story goes =)

Before Cedar Steven and I stopped by Michigan for a wedding and hung out with some awesome Michigan people.  it was a lot of fun..made us not want to leave but we had to..cause we had Cedar.
