So...Happy New Year! haha

2007!!!..the year of pigs!! i'm a pig..haha

For those of you who have been sick for the past month or so...i feel ya...haha..the first 4 days or so were kinda painful..but after that..you feel like it's gone but a scratch here and there comes and tickles your throat...and then you go ahhhh!!

i think it's all gone tho..haha..hopefully..

So i started to read the bible again..the 'reading the bible in a year' thing. Cause i stopped last year in August...and i was so consistent too!!! and as i was reading Genesis chapter 6, i realized something.

Verse 5-8 says : "5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” 8 But Noah found favor with the Lord."

Doesn't it seem like it has been easier for God to wipe out the sinful people and start all over? And to make sure that people don't eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil? But why did he save Noah and his family? Because of His love for us. If only God wiped out all the living creatures then and started over, it would've been easier for us to worship Him and not sin? But maybe God knew no matter what happens, people are going to find a way to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and it's going to come down to this.

God didn't just leave us to sin and do whatever we want, but He gave us a choice. Either believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and know for sure that you'll be in heaven, or go sin away and see where you end up. But there are so many things that lead us to know that God exists. If there's a creation, there must be a creator.

Again, i experienced how big God's love for us is and how amazing He is.

so i wanted to share something that i read and i quote

It almost did it again!!! what's wrong with xanga?!!?!?!?!!

anyhoo...so i wanted to describe how amazing God's love is...and i wrote a lot after a long thought process..and it got erased...so i can't think anymore...

But that quote itself is just amazing. God sees us as a new person! no sin! how amazing is that! Once you acknowledge God as our savior, He gives you a new heart. I love how John says that 'there's a reason that it's called good news' pretty cool...

maybe you guys don't really get or are confused by what i said..maybe not..but i'm just too disappointed and sad that all the things that i wrote got erased. bahh!!

Has anyone seen my abercrombie hat?? i can't find it anywhere so i concluded that i lost it...but i'd still want to have it if someone's seen it or knows where it is..if not...good day =)

So it's July already...and it's kinda chilly..weird? i think it's just chicago weather.

DCLA/JAMA was a pretty awesome experience. I thought Urbana was a big conference but DCLA was about 12,000(?..not sure) people and JAMA was about 4000. I guess praise led by David Crowder and Matt Redman was a huge plus. It was good for the youth to experience workshipping with nearly 20,000 people. The message was awesome and very powerful (for those of us who stayed up during the messages). It was pretty tiring tho...my eyes were heavier than usual so i started taking note and it helped a lot.

Something I learned during the conference that hit me was that if you're feeling like you're doing too much work for God such as serving everywhere, then you're becoming more and more legalistic. In order to not become so legalistic is to remember the cross, recall your conversion (when you decided to give your life to God and how awesome it was to know His love), and to review your hope (Freeing yourself from being volnurable to legalism). Serving should come freely because you love God so much and you want to follow His ways.

That didn't make sense did it...haha eh..it's just something that i wanted to remember and posting it would help me so...i guess you guys don't have to read it or try to make sense of what i wrote.....

Car Wash!!

Our church is having a car wash this Saturday the 15th at 9AM-5PM Please come and support us! I'll even wax your car if you want me to =) we don't have bunch of girls in bikinis but we can try making the little boys to wear them...just kidding...unless you really want to..

So the story with this picture is that the lady in the middle is an Elder at our church and she's known as the Terminator...she's really nice and awesome but there are times when she becomes the Terminator..when her firm grip gets a hold of your hand or your shoulder, you're done...i tried so hard to get her to wear the lamb hat that's made from a towel and i was successful taking a pic of her. maybe this is just funny to me..=P

Hello there =)

Wow..it's been a while since i've updated huh..i've been...busy..being lazy =)

well..summer's here..it's starting to get really hot..or it's hot already..only if people are ok with people running around in their boxers...i would totally..........

We had our first small group today at Paul's house. It was a overview of what we're going to learn, Ephesians!! but before we got fed spiritually, we had a BBQ. It was good to see a lot of people and have fellowship. The overview was awesome as well. Hopefully everyone is excited to dig in to the Word as we continue to study the bible cause i am!!

What's KJ been up to?

not much..just a lot of work..and work..or mostly work..where you ask? same place i've been working for the past 2 years..=) it's a nice job so i like it..but sometimes it gets boring..

and then i moved to a new place on morgan and 15th..a little west of university villege..so if anyone wants to chill..i'm here in the city. There's a workout room in my building so that's a plus..and it has a really nice view of the chicago skyline. Makes you want to not workout and just glaze at the view..

I'm glad school's done but it's June already..so school's almost here..feel sorry for those of you who have to take summer school...or is taking summer school. If you're ever hungry and you don't feel like spending money...let me know!! and i'll get you some food..we have a full box of lamyun at my place =D

Cedar was cool...took Loving God's Story track..basically bible overview..it was good that i took this track cause now it helps me with reading the bible. Now i can relate more since i know how the whole story goes =)

Before Cedar Steven and I stopped by Michigan for a wedding and hung out with some awesome Michigan people. it was a lot of fun..made us not want to leave but we had to..cause we had Cedar.

Hello there =)

So I was playing basketball today and everything felt kinda good. Most of my shots were going in...several steals and rebounds..passes were kinda better than usual..cause I was playing with a good team. Then I had a steal and was on a fast break. I was thinking about just laying it up gently and coming back down to the court as I was dribbling. My dribble was kinda wobbly because it was a fast break and I just stole it..I was almost at the rim and THEN...

my knee gave up...almost dislocated again..i don't know how to describe it..the two bones that meets in the knee..gets out of place and goes back in place...if you know what I mean..

I ended up on the floor..in pain..feeling bad for people on my team and the other team because I was taking away their play time..

So I started to think..I rested a semester from playing any sports..isn't that enough? should I go get it checked out? do I really need surgery? why do I keep getting hurt!!!

Then it hit me..I was spending too much time playing basketball. I think God wanted me to rest from playing basketball..or not spend too much time and focus on other things. I realized that Mon, Wed, and Fri was my basketball days..and that was too much I guess. Regardless of how busy I was, I went to go play ball because it was one of the greatest stress relievers. I guess I can focus on other things now..i can't really walk around because it hurts..so more studying time for me! yay!! can you tell that i'm really excited??? -.-;;;

I'm just glad that I can still walk and i didn't break anything...or anything...Sometimes God's way of telling us seems harsh...but if it's not His way, then it's not a good way...it's not the right way. Because there's only One Way =)

So it's the last day of the first month of the year 2006. Time does fly by...we're almost at the 25 percent mark of this semester..and there's just too much to do!!

what's been going on in KJ's life? Not much. A lot of school, work, and AAIV...plus very little sleep. I feel like i'm so busy that i don't know what to do. But then again, i can always make time...i just have to stop being lazy.

I've been trying to study a lot. I always end up studying at late nights tho...God was gracious enough to give me time at work to study this semester, which i'm very thankful for =) I usually get a lot at work so i don't have time to do other things.

I started the 'reading the bible in one year' thing this year (as i mentioned in the last entry)and so far i missed one day, which i was able to catch up the next day. Crazy..i think it helps cause i write it down on my planner/ schedule book thing. Yes, i said it. KJ uses a planner...it's not one of those korean ones where it has different colors and different characters but it's full of pictures of Jesus and the word. My pastor gave it to me so i decided to use it. It helps a lot. I was very surprised..=)

It's crazy how God works in your life. As i started reading the bible from the beginning, i realized how powerful and amazing God is once again. Even during our bible study this past saturday at church, it was awesome to be able to relate the bible into the discussion we had just because i remember the bible from reading it.

One thing i learned this past saturday that blew me away was when we talked about Moses. After God used Moses to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt, Moses goes up to a mountain and receives the ten commandments that God Himself wrote on the two pieces of stone. As Moses came down the mountain, he saw God's people worshipping a golden calf so he got mad and threw the ten commandments on the floor and broke it. Then the question was asked, 'Do you think God was mad at Moses for doing that?' Of course we were confused.

But God wasn't mad at Moses and He didn't punish him either. It was because the ten commandments weren't official yet. When the government makes a new law, it isn't official until the President signs it. In the same way, Moses broke the ten commandments before he declared it a law. He broke it before he told the Israelites what the ten commandments were. Then Moses went back up the holy mountain and asked God to forgive them and not destroy them. So God wrote the ten commandments again and gave it to Moses. It's very clear that Moses loved the Israelites with all his heart.

Hello there =)

First of all, Happy New Year =) Wow...2006 already..it's been almost 12 years since i came to the United States..haha..that's a long time =P

Wow...it's been a long time since i updated..How have you been doing?

I've been good. It feels like all i did during this break was work, rest, and...sleep..haha. Can't believe I have school on monday...but i'm ready to study!!! like a nerd!! muhahahahaha...

The winter retreat was a blast. God definitely showed us once again that He is alive...ALIVE!!! At the last night of the retreat, instead of hearing a message, we all went around and answered one question. "Why do you believe in God?" It was a blessing time because you don't normally hear your church kids share how God has influenced their lives ya know? or is it just my church....=P God was definitely telling me something. I wanted to thank God for putting me at SKUPC. There's a reason why I was put there and there's a reason why my church kids are where they are. Nothing's a coincedence. It's all part of God's plan. I just hope that I can be a better help to my church kids.

It was also a blessing retreat because we got to meet great people that also love God, KFPC(Michigan church). I didn't know there were so many of you guys..haha. I feel bad that i didn't talk to a lot of you guys...cause i'm shy like that...haha when it comes to meeting new people.. but thanks for a great experience.

It was a ski/ snowboarding retreat but i couldn't do neither of them...cause my knee's still bad! blah! dah well..once my knee gets better...i'll be jumping all over the place!!

I thought it was interesting how people thought the last entry was posted...by me...that was...LJ again.

Wow..it's week 13..and i have a lot of things on my mind..I don't know what to do..lots of things to do...decisions to make..I need Jesus..JESUS~!!! Jesus is all...my all in all..He never fails..and He is faithful. So we need to be faithful..trust in God..TRUST!! But still do my part..It's so hard to do my part though..why? i dunno..but nothing is impossible with God =) Please pray for me! and i will pray for you!!

Today was an awesome day! I prayed with my old friend today and was so blessed. It was extra nice because we both put lotion on and made our hands really soft before we prayed. ^.^ . Anyway, I was struggling a lot because of ***** and my *******s for her. Later, I got to cuddle with my roommate Jerry on the couch watching Mean Girls. I wouldn't mind having a wife his size. He fit perfectly under my arm. Hahahaha. Prayer is refreshing and constant prayer brings peace. Jerry is cute too.
